Hen-Hen's birthday

We knew our boy name for sure. James Henderson Byerly, Jr and that we would call him Henderson. But, if it had been a girl....it could have been bad. We were still "discussing" names in the operating room!!!





When he made his arrival, I can remember saying to Jim, bring that BOY over here. Did I just say that? A boy????What does a Byerly boy look like!!! Well, I'll say that he's familiar looking to me. But, so far everything about him is lighter....his hair is lighter than the girls was, his eyes are still really blue, and his skin is much fairer!! But, he's much meatier than the girls were!

And, his nickname....Hen-hen! We weren't planning on that one!

I had to think about my password for a mintue....

So, I would have never thought there would be 2 1/2 month gap between my last post and this one..... But, I hope to catch up this weekend. I said hope to..... My free time these days is spent folding laundry, emptying the diswasher, and watching some dvr'd shows that require me to not think at all! And, an occasional workout with Jillian. So, I've missed blogging, but can make no guarantees! ( I mean I can't even remember how to spell anymore! Did I get guarantee right?)



We finally opened the "envelope"..... And guess what.....the ultrasound tech was right.....

We got us a precious baby boy!!!

Henderson is such a sweet baby..... (this picture is from Easter-2 months outdated!!! And, yes the blanket is Emery's) He's growing like crazy and is such a sweet addition to our family!

So, this is a post for my aunt Susan. She told me this morning at the egg hunt to update my blog, and so I am!! After so many weeks of not posting, you think that people stop checking! We are all doing well and Henderson is overall a good baby. He'll be 6 weeks on Tuesday. It's crazy how fast these first weeks have flown by, especially with 2 other kids!!

When Henderson was 2 weeks old, my friend Karen came to the house to take a few pictures. I can't remember much about that day-things still a big blur at that time, but I loved all the shots she got! I think she does great work! Her site is www.karenhalbertphotography.com

One week old already?

So, I can't believe that our sweet baby boy is already a week old! Yesterday was my actual due date and I can't imagine him not being here yet! He's such a sweet addition to our family. So far, he's a great sleeper and eater. I owe a huge thank you to my mom....she's been such a great help the last week, including being exposed to merrill with the stomach virus! (great timing,huh?) I'm also completely grateful to all the friends and family that have showered us with attention. And, if you are worried about us not having any blue "things"....don't worry, plenty of blue around here now!

At some point, I'll go back and post some pictures from the big day..... I feel so blessed to have three precious babies! Henderson favors Emery more than Merrill- at least for now! I know they change so much the first few weeks and months.

and its a BOY!!!

I'm a lot slower getting something on the blog than I hoped....But, we welcomed a precious baby BOY to our family today! I'm so glad that we waited to find out what we were having!

James Henderson Byerly, Jr was born at 8:01 a.m. He will go by Henderson. He weighed in at 7 lbs, 6 ouces and was 20 inches long. And, of course we think he's just precious!

Hopefully I can upload some more pictures tomorrow...this were taken with Jim's phone, so they aren't great! We are all so excited.....Emery was so cute about meeting her new baby brother. And, Merrill hasn't decided what she thinks yet!! Thanks for all the prayers the last few weeks and months. We are very blessed!

Well, the day is almost here! Tomorrow morning we will welcome baby #3! I'm so excited!!! I've had trouble sleeping, and not because of pregnancy complaints....just ready to meet him or her! As of right now, we don't have a definite name for a girl, this could be fun! According to the poll....the majority said they think we are having a boy! I can't get a vibe either way!

We've had fun the last couple of weeks....trips to the library, the circus, mcdonalds, fun snows, etc..... Not that we won't be able to keep doing fun things after baby is here- it will just be a little different for a few weeks!

I've gotten most everything done I wanted to before the baby arrived. But, I'm most excited about getting our taxes done. Those of you that know how type A I can be- this shouldn't surprise you! But, how long have known this day was coming??? My hospital bag still isn't packed and I'm blogging!!! Emery started ballet back in January (and merrill thinks she did too) and let me tell you- she loves it! I'm kinda out of my comfort zone..... I don't like mirrors and spandex and graceful is not a word that anyone would use to describe me!!! Should be fun seeing where this goes!

We tried to get a mom and girl shot yesterday morning before church- looks lovely doesn't it!

This one..... her little world is about to be rocked. She was supposed to be sitting in Jim's lap for the daddy and daughters shot, but you can see she wasn't into that!

we've had lots of "hang around the house days" during the cold weather.... the girls have enjoyed playing in pjs all day and doing "tricks" and making "crafts"

We had a beautiful snow several weeks ago! I love what I call perfect snow....no footprints or melted patches. Here's our backyard

they lasted 20 mintues outside.....we're real tough at our house!

the girls and I, mom, and laura got our toes done this morning. I was scared we exceeded the weight limit on the chair.....

clearly didn't mean to post this picture, but I'm not starting over on this post!
