Cute stuff!

Exactly two years ago, I bought the sweet pea stationery books! I thought it would be fun to sell because I love paper products so much.... I've found out, I'm not a sales woman at all! Going to California.....

Well, the time has finally come...

My sister and her new husband are moving to California. David will be getting his masters in aeronautical engineering at UCLA. They'll be out there for two years. This is the furthest that any family member has ever gone!!

They left yesterday and are driving a huge Penske and towing one of their cars. I believe that the estimate is around 32 hours of driving time! They're going to do several "scenic" things along the way since his school doesn't start until late September!

Emery has really been attached to both Laura and David lately! It broke Jim and mine's heart yesterday because she reached for their big moving truck as they pulled away! She's not going to know what hit her with them in CA and then my brother in Knoxville. We hope to visit before the baby comes.. maybe October some time! Anyhow, we'll miss you Laura and David, but know that this is an adventure of a lifetime!

We've done a lot of family stuff in preparation for their leaving day... I posted this picture to show how our family celebrates! It's always about food! This is a typical Sunday lunch at my Grandmothers. We had a goodbye dinner for L &D on Sunday... Included 2 appetizers,(not shown) a table full of "real" food and then 3 desserts(in background)!! Yummy!

Beach Pictures

As soon as I pulled my camera out at the beach, the lens stayed fogged for a few minutes! We're lucky we got any pictures considering how hot it was!

This was the bed that we slept in. Jim's mom had a lady paint the 3 current grandchildren and dogs on the headboard! I loved it.... (Can you see how well behaved our labs are in the picture?If only they really did that!)

Another pretty boring post

I feel like I've been the most boring blogger lately! I like have lots of pictures to post along with my ramblings!

We had a wonderful time at the beach last week~ thanks so much to Nana and Poppy! I got lots of pictures and will post some as soon as I can!

While it might a boring one, I did scan one picture. I had another ultrasound on Monday... We finally got a profile shot of baby girl! And of course, we think she looks like Emery! I bet every parent thinks their second is going to look like the first though!

Oh yeah, baby girl's name will be Merrill! We're still trying to decide on the middle name!


A random side note... Everytime I see an ultrasound picture, I see the word gain on there (upper right corner) and think how does this machine know how much I've gained??? But, wouldn't it be hilarious to have a "pregnancy pound counter" on here??

August 18th is the day!

How come my dryer can quit working, or my fuel gauge on my car and be totally off, but if my computer is "broken", I can't seem to think about anything else!



I've called the Geeksquad to come work on my computer... I've never used them before, but supposedly they can get my computer up and running. I think there is just a lot of spyware on there right now. Anyone ever used someone like GeekSquad? I'm a little hestitant, but the fact that the earliest they could come over was the 18th, made me a little more optimistic! So, sorry that there are no pictures posted today... I know how just writing and no pictures bores a lot of you!



Things have been busy around here with VBS, packing for a trip, playdates, and who knows what else! I'm having a hard time believing that we are already in August! I've been emotional lately, and I don't really like to think about how fast time flies. Does this make anyone else sad sometimes? Each stage Emery goes through, I don't want her to grow out of.... It just keeps getting better!
