Where's the month of April gone?

Whoa! And Happy Birthday to Ray.... Apologize for the giant picture! I haven't posted in so long, I'm rusty!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Kind of chessey to put this picture in, but all the other ones are in my album!

Happy Birthday Pop!

Happy Birthday Bud/Austin! I apologize, I forgot to rotate... So, I posted another below!

Emery loves her uncle Bud! As you can see he's really silly with her!

Happy Birthday to Laura!

Okay, its been so long since I've posted, and I have no excuses why!! I love the month of April, and always feel like we're so busy... But, I can't figure out with what. We haven't even left town once! So, I just laid Emery down and made myself post!

First off, today is our anniversary! Around this time 4 years ago, we were getting ready for group pictures. It's just wild how fast time flies..... especially once you have a kid!

We've celebrated several birthdays this month.... My brother, sister, Dad, and then Jim's brother's birthday is tomorrow! I love birthdays!
Not much else new going on. I do have an update on my bridesmaids dress for my sisters wedding..... It fit! Because of everything surrounding what size to order, I was a bit nervous, but I actually had room to spare! And to make it better, my mom actually went and picked it up without me. Mom has decided that any alterations that need to be done, will be done by someone else! Thank Goodness!

I have missed reading other blogs and posting on mine too! I WILL be better! Jim' parents came in town this weekend, so I'll post those pictures soon!

The Bridesmaid Dress & the "Sweet" Little Lady

Many of you that I talk to on a regular basis know this story, but those of you that don't might find it funny. I didn't at first!

My sister is getting married on July 7th. So, several months ago, I had to go be fitted for the dress. Of course, I'm not crazy about someone taking a tape measure to my body.... but this is how it has to be done!

So I go over to the store. The "sweet" little lady takes my measurements and then whispers what size she thought I needed. I said pretty loudly, "whatever size you think," trying to politely let her know that I WAS NOT going to leave the store crying over what size dress I had to order.

My mom then steps over to my rescue after hearing me and asks the sales lady about the sizing. The sales lady then turns to me and does/says the following:

1. pinches my stomach
2. asks if I will be smaller by July
3. ask me if I had heard of spanx before
4. tells me that I'm "soft" in my mid-section from having the "baby" as she points to Emery (I mean really?)

So, I left with the "sweet" little lady telling me that she did feel comfortable ordering down one size. Well thanks! I really appreciate it!

Well, the dress is in. I have to try it on to see if any alterations are needed. My mom insists on escorting me because she fears that I might physically hurt the lady! I would never, but I don't think its unreasonable for me to not be jumping for joy to get over there! Wouldn't you be a little offended? I can laugh about it now, because the "sweet" little lady did something even ruder (is that a word) to another one of the bridesmaids!

I'll keep you posted on how my next encounter with the "sweet" old lady goes!

I Miss My Camera!

Emery loved the sand!

And the seagulls! Unfortunately, I had to chase after her many times, something that the many college spring breakers behind us shouldn't have had to see! : )

More digging!

There's nothing like a good bath after a long day at the beach/pool!

Playing in the kitchen....

Waking up from a long nap with buddy Luke!
At the zoo with Hayden

Our playgroup met at the park and brought all the daddies with us! We had a very nice time!

Okay.... I'm pretty sure that I have posted way too many pictures, and I'm scared that, well to be honest... these might be quite boring. But, this is what we've been up to lately!
I really need my digital camera! I could carry that thing around everywhere. Now, I have to buy film, develop pictures, scan them (and yes some are crooked!), and then find a place to store them in my house! I vow to save and buy the camera of my dreams very soon!
I will post some pictures from this coming weekend next week sometime!
