"Don't Blink"

Well never in a million years would I have thought I would title a post with one of Kenny Chesney's songs! I must say that the little guy might be growing on me! Jim loves this song and I must say that it makes me want to live each day to the fullest!(If you aren't a country person... google it and listen!) Jim and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary this past Saturday. I truly can't believe that it has been five years! We've had fun!!

We had a very relaxing dinner at Stoney River. We had never eaten there and it was well worth waiting for! Our entertainment was watching all the high schoolers prance around the restaurant in their prom attire! Quite commical and we both agreed what an awkward stage!!! Our attempt at a picture...
I went back and looked through pictures but ended up posting pictures from 2 of the most special days of our lives...

Jim and I were talking the other day about how when you are dating you never really think about how things will change. But then when they do.. it seems so normal! Here's an example... Emery walks in on Jim.. well, using the restroom and says, "Great job Daddy!" We just laughed!

Not sure if that makes sense, but it does in my head! Oh how I love my life!!

For those of you that have babies that are excellent sleepers.... I'm jealous!! Occasionally all 4 of us wake up in the same bed! And, I must say it is crowded, but I know there will be a day that it won't be like this and I'll miss it! I think I might have gotten off track, but anyway, all that to say that I can't imagine being anywhere else or doing anything else. I'm very grateful to have a husband that loves his 3 girls so much!

Blogger is acting funny for me... I'm not sure why some of these pictures are so dark. I'm hoping it is just my screen! Anyway... We had a great time at the beach! (I can't believe that I have posted 4 times today. Both girls are sleeping at the same time... yeah! )

4 months

It's so hard to believe that merrill is already 4 months old. She is a very sweet baby! She's smiling all the time, sleeping okay, eating rice cereal, and really enjoys watching her older sister. She weighs in at 12 pounds 4 ounces. I can't remember how tall we were, but I do remember she was in the 8 percentile! Still so small, but she is getting some rolls!

We're potty trained!!! We've been in big girl panties for about 3 weeks now! We are so proud of Emery and she certainly feels like a big girl! So much better than having to change on both the girls!

Chuck-e-cheese has a chart that we used. Each day Emery went on the potty we put a sticker on the chart and once it was full we got to go to chuck-e-cheese.

Don't think I forced her to use the big potty at first. She was using her little potty and then one time she told us that she used "ours." (she can now go all by herself so we don't always know whats going on back there) We didn't believe her though. Next time she ran back there we followed and sure enough she climbed up there. Her feet hung off the ground by about a foot and a half!

Enough potty talk for one day? One more little conversation that i thought was cute. This was as I dropped her off at MDO.

Me: Emery, remember to tell ms. laura if you need to go potty.

Ms. Laura: Yeah, just tell me if you need to go. I think Mia might try to go on the potty today too.(as she looks at Mia)

Mia: No, I'm going to go in my diaper (as she looks at Emery)

Emery: No, I don't go in a diaper, I go in the potty. I have on Curious George panties. (emery looking at Mia)

Mia: cool...

Jim took Emery to the movies several weeks ago. They saw Horton gives/hears (not sure which one) a who! Emery had a big time! Both Jim and Emery were pretty excited about their outing without me and merrill!

We're Home

We're back from the beach and had a wonderful time!!! I'm too lazy to download any pictures tonight, but I though I could post a link to some pictures of the girls. These were taken a month ago... But still. Keep in mind that the pictures are the good, bad and ugly. It was a cold rainy day, but after the end of this I was sweating!! And I even had my mom with me!
