It's hard to keep it Current!

Posting often is harder than I thought it would be!

We spent last week playing in Atlanta with Nana & Poppy. Jim had training down there, so we tagged along. Emery had a great time. Nana is the queen of having really fun things for Emery to play with. She loves them and their house! I think she's been bored back in Nashville.

On Saturday morning, my Nannie passed away. She was my great-grandmother, which makes her Emery's great-great grandmother. 5 generations! She was 97 years old! A few years ago my brother gave her the nickname of "Nannie Panties" and even at her age, her response was " as long as you love me, I don't care what you call me!" Great lady with lots of spunk! We'll miss her!
It made me sad looking for a picture of her and Emery- I think the latest one I have was from Christmas 2005 & Emery's eyes are pretty scary. Hopefully someone in the family has one more recent!

Oh yeah, Emery got bit today at mothers day out! I'll have to post a picture tomorrow, I couldn't get the right angle tonight. I feel so bad for her, but I'd rather her be the bitee than the biter! The little guy drew blood! Ouch!

The Potty Chair

So I decided that I would buy Emery a potty chair. She isn't even 2 yet, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to get her familiar with what a potty was, and what goes in the potty! So I went to Target yesterday and bought a potty. (see above) When we got home, I put together the potty- all three pieces of it. I felt sure that Emery would enjoy at least using it as a seat for a while. However, she became almost angry at the potty and threw the pieces across the room. Don't worry there was nothing in the potty! I said to myself, that's fine, she's no where near ready for this!
Tonight I took the above picture. Emery found her bouncy seat in the guest bedroom. So, I put a baby einstein in while Jim and I packed. I came around the corner and found her like this! We do have quite a ways to go! ha!

We Did It

We are finally joining the blogging world. I have really enjoyed reading friends blogs. I've been putting off starting one because I thought it was hard. Jim helped me and it really isn't all that bad. The test will be if I can successfully download pictures on my own. We'll see! Here are a few pictures from the last couple of weeks!

We love our swing

Ready for church

Emery has really enjoyed playing with Duke & Daisy's kennels. Really gross, huh?

We had our first haircut this week, thanks to Martha Lynn. Emery did great.
The rat tail had to go!
