Well, the last few weeks have been fun! Last week, Jim and I celebrated our 6 year annivesary. We had a nice dinner out and then roamed around T.J. Maxx without the kids. Soooo romantic, right? Nana and Poppy came in town for a visit on Friday and Jim and I were going to have another date night but ended up going to eat with everyone and later that night we headed to walmart alone. I mean, could we get any more romantic?? It just makes me so glad that we got away on a little trip back in January!

We had our first swim party on Friday with the 85+ SPRING weather! Oh, it makes me so excited for this summer. Jim and I also had a fun 30th surprise party for Martha Lynn! But, guess what...... not one picture from any of that!! I have fallen off the wagon I guess.

Jim sent this to me this morning. I guess he took it this morning, I don't know.... I don't remember a thing. Merrill at age 16 months has 6 teeth. Doing the late teething thing, exactly what her sister did... which will mean that she will most likely teeth for the next year. Which means she has the sleeping habits of an infant!!! And, you will notice that Emery is in bed with me too! She's been getting out of hers early in the morning and climbing into our bed. It's getting kinda crowded!! So glad that Jim is an early riser on the weekdays. Not sure all four of us could fit! But, you know... pretty sure I wouldn't change a thing! I'm going miss this someday, right?

Merrill WAS ready for bed.... Why did I give her a cookie?

Emery had a visit to the butcher shop! Oh, I mean sweet & sassy salon. All I said was no shorter than the chin. I believe it hangs about an inch below the ears. We got our $$ worth though!

a blurry shot of emery ,pre-haircut. I would post a picture of Merrill's haircut. But, well.... I didn't do such a great job. She still has a "tail" as emery calls it!

what a difference a year makes...

The girls wore last year's easter dresses this past Sunday. Time is going so quickly..... It kinda makes me sad!

Thank you Lifetime!

So, Sunday afternoons around our house consist of this: naps & Lifetime movies. It doesn't matter what the plot of the movie is, it always sucks me in! Well.... I have seen one movie three times now. Identity theft: The Michelle Brown Story. Or the title goes something like that. I like this movie, not necessarily because of the plot, but because it has Kimberly Williams-Paisely (I think she is so cute!) and in it and she remodels this adorable house! But, I am so glad I saw it just last sunday because.....

Tuesday I checked my online banking and saw this:

APL *Itunes 866-712-7753 CA for a charge of 1.00

I thought...hmmmm funny. First off, we have a credit right now to itunes and I knew that I had purchased anything and I knew Jim hadn't even been on the computer yet. So, I called the number thinking I would get Itunes and surprise, surprise... I got a NOT nice lady's voicemail.

So, I placed a call to the bank. And, guess what? Some little crook got my card info and was using it from their home computer!!!! My stomach fell to my toes. I know this isn't a big monetary amount but it freaked me out! So, I had to cancel my card. The bank lady said it was probably because I have shopped online before. So irritating. So, pay attention people to what is on your statements!

And I can't post without a picture or two. We went to see the bunnies at the toy store and this was the only one of both girls. Why, might you ask? I was starstruck.... Tim McGraw held the door open for me walking in!!! I never recovered. But, I do like how Em & M are becoming big friends!

Emery's first trip out-of-state without me or Jim. She went to pick out Aunt Law-rah's new puppy, Bacon, in Kentucky last weekend.

picture happy!

Okay, so I was able to get all my pictures downloaded. And, I got a little too picture happy! Jim enjoys teasing me and calling out photographers names while I am in my "picture taking zone." I am sure a true photographer would cringe at my work! ha,ha!

There is probably only one reader that will like and appreciate these easter dresses as much as I did! (Mrs. Loyd) My mom worked so hard on these masterpieces. I absolutely loved them! I am really excited that they will be able to wear them next year too. And, hopefully some of my brother and sister's kids will too someday.

not sure what I love more about this picture: the shadow or the kitten

again... love that kitten

my grandmother had just said, "hey girls!" You can see they stop in their tracks at her voice

legate cousins

Aunt Law-rah came to visit us this past weekend. I'm gonna go out on a limb here... but, I am thinking that trips back to Nashville are GREAT birth control for her!

what do you think will become of this?

The girls love it on sundays when the get to get down to their slips. I on the other hand would have a hissy fit if I had to.

emery found something??

action shot of the egg hunt at preschool

Jim took about 10 of these shots. I think this was the BEST one

pajama easter egg dying party- group shot

what to do with the little ones when they fuss

three things on this one: Nolan had just spilled green dye all over himself, that's why he's topless. Emery is still talking about the green dye spilling. It made quite an impact on her for some reason! second: check out emery's paegent hair (obviously, I was never in one because I'm not sure how to spell it!) third: why won't emery look at the camera???

I liked this one because merrill actually thought she was going to get to participate!!
Well, I'm done with Easter! We managed to get not one family shot! Oh, maybe next year!

this is all I got from easter, for now!

I want to SCREAM!! I have spent the last 2 days trying to get pictures off my good camera. Don't ask me how, but the connection where I download pictures got warped somehow. So, I had to buy this gadget that was supposed to be SOOOO easy, but after downloading 2 pictures in 5 hours, I have decided it is not working properly. I couldn't live without my computer, but I hate it when it outsmarts me!!! So, here are a few pictures (non-glamorous ones) taken with my dinky camera from Easter! I can promise you this readers: I will get those pictures on this computer. So, stay tuned! The Easter Bunny brought just a couple of things this year. Each girl got a chair for the treehouse and some other junk. I love this picture... merrill sitting on a chair on the couch, just inches from the edge. Can we say dangerous? Also, note that merrill isn't looking at her stuff... she's eyeing her sisters. Unfortunately, I believe that stage has arrived. She wants whatever Emery has and vice versa. Fun times!

Let me also tell you this.... this little 17 pound prissy thing broke a lamp, some blinds, and fell out of her high chair resulting in the byerly's first bloody nose. And I thought little boys were wild!( I bet some of you are thinking I don't watch my children, aren't you?) Emery in her beach bound pajamas. No cute matching easter pajamas this year!! Note: Emery is holding the cheesey peep easter basket that my mom gave merrill the night before. Man, litttle girls are funny!

an yet another unsucessful attempt......

Egg Hunt

We had our first of three egg hunts yesterday. This one was at church. The girls had a great time-especially emery! Merrill is still pretty clueless, but enjoyed roaming around with Kiki and Pop. She understands candy though- caught her with several pieces of candy (wrapper and all!) in her mouth! I tried to get a good sister shot before the hunt, and this was probably the best. I made these outfits and was so excited for them to actually wear them. I've stared at them since January! Finally a little warmer weather which means spring clothes! Yeah!

Okay, not even really a cute picture. But, notice what Merrill has. I do the tango with merrill every single time we get in the car. She goes straight for the mower and wants it in the car with us which results in a meltdown every single time. The girl is tiny but boy does she have a tight grip! You would think that I would MOVE the thing so that this would quit happening!

a little face painting

the finished artwork

ready, set go

So..... we don't let Emery watch spongebob. Just a few things I have heard from other parents and even some I have heard/seen myself. So, she was sidetracked at the hunt when one of the eggs was wrapped in spongebob plastic. She wasn't sure whether to throw it back down or put in her basket. I told her she could keep it! But I loved this face!

sleepy merrill looking like minnie mouse. I am hoping that if I keep putting bows in her hair that it will encourage some actual hair growth!

Help!!!

This would be what I need help with... this white van. This is one of the views I have from my front porch.... Same view since last Septemeber. Nice, huh? My neighbor got a new car and she has left THIS in the same spot since! It looks so terrible.... Her mowers are mowing/weed eating around it. I mean come on lady! I think this falls under the category of redneck, doesn't it? I am getting ready to turn into a crazy neighbor! Isn't their someone I can call about this? Jim has even joked about trying to buy it from her- no thank you!

my ipod is a hot item these days around our house. Here, merrill is finally getting a turn!

listening to ABBA

So we have had some spring like weather lately. The girls enjoy playing in the back of the car. And I know, that could technically make us fit in with the lady with van, but trust me.... we do not!

emery posing in the back of the car

merrill abandoned by her driver

gymnastics is over.... at least for now! Mia & Emery posing after class. Don't they look like high schoolers in this picture?
So, obviously not much exciting to blog about still! Hopefully I will have some new material soon, or I fear that blogger will shut this blog down!!!
