LOST

No, I'm not referring to the show..... Although I watched it the other night for the first time in probably a year, and I had absolutely no clue as to what was going on!

But, I did really loose something this week. I've spent the last 3 days worrying about it.... It's our cordless phone! I mean how do you loose your home phone? The last time I had it, I was sitting outside with Emery and we were blowing bubbles. I sat it on the back of my car. Emery's been sick this week (a "very fun" stomach bug) and it hit her while we were outside. She climbed up in my lap, and closed her eyes. So, I immediately knew something was wrong with her, and we came back inside and I put her in our bed. I am almost 100% certain that I went back outside and brought it in. But, after tearing the house apart, its no where to be found. Jim is certain that I took off to the bank that afternoon, and somehow the phone stayed put for awhile, and then eventually fell off. Whatever! One turn out of driveway, and it would have slid off the bumper! I've walked up and down the street looking for remnants, but no luck!

Anyway, life will certainly go on, but if anyone sees a black cordless phone, pick it up! I hate, hate loosing things... I just wish it had been something like a hairbow or sippy cup! It makes me feel so unorganized and forgetful.

Oh yeah, I lost something else this week too... what was left of my waist! I am feeling and seeing the effects of baby #2!

Hope that all have a safe and fun Memorial Day!

A Fun Weekend

Celebrating last weekend in Atlanta

One tired birthday girl, and one really sunburned daddy! (Jim would die if he saw this!)

The beautiful bride at her portrait. And no, this is not the best picture that I took, I just don't want to give away how gor-geous she will look on her wedding day!

Blowing out the candle!

Emery really got into opening presents!

After she opened these, she then said, "more presents?"

The t-shirt my friend Karen made

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Emery's birthday!!

It all started on Friday morning... We were going to meet my sister and mom at M.L. Crawfords (hair salon) because my sister was getting her bridal portrait done that day. After the salon we were heading to Chuck-e-cheese. It was going to be very small, just grandparents and one cousin! But, about the time we were supposed to meet, my aunt Amy (the 30 year old one that's really a sister) was in a fender bender. So, she was rushed in an ambulance to Vanderbilt because she is 40 weeks (and counting) pregnant with Baby Bennett. But, everything checked out just fine though, and unfortunately, for her, it didn't help get labor going!

We headed to McDonalds for a lovely fried meal instead! Friday night we tried again to celebrate with pizza.... and that time it worked! My parents came over afterwards for a very small party- as in the 4 of us and Emery party!

The rest of the weekend was filled with some fishing(not me!), a birthday party for a friend from church, and then dinner with cousins. Sunday we had another family party for Emery.

Needless to say, we've celebrated for a week now. Last weekend with the Byerlys and this weekend with my family. All I know is that next year will be different... she now understands what a party is!

Oh yeah, I posted a picture of Emery's birthday shirt... If you're interested in buying one, check out my new link! Karen goes to church with us, and can do several really neat "custom" gifts!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

It's so hard to believe that Emery will be 2 tomorrow! I know that everyone says this, but time really does fly!

Emery's very excited and has been practicing saying she's 2! I just finished wrapping her presents, although they are very small, I get so excited about seeing her reaction. One particular thing she's getting, she picked out of a catalog herself! No joke, I got a picture of her flipping through the catalog, but haven't figured out how to download yet.

I will post pictures from the next couple of days soon. I won't go into a long spill about how much we love Emery.... All I will say is that we can't imagine life without her! She brings us so much happiness!

Big News

We have big news......

We're expecting!!! We're very excited!!We have a December 19th due date, but I will let the doctor take me as early as she will let me! That is one nice thing about c-sections. I've already been thinking that I better get started on my Christmas shopping now! We're still trying to decide if we will find out the sex. Jim's all for it, but I think it might be fun to not find out! We still have time to decide though.

I didn't post any pictures from the doctor, because I'm on a different computer, but I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities to post some ultrasound pictures.

For those concerned with the bridesmaid dress (please note my earlier post!), I believe it will still work. I'm going to start trying it on every couple of weeks. If it doesn't work, don't worry, there is a back up plan.

We're off to Atlanta this weekend for Mother's Day.

Oh yeah, I ordered a new digital camera. It should be here any day, so get ready for lots more pictures!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mom's out there!

Where's the month of April gone?

Whoa! And Happy Birthday to Ray.... Apologize for the giant picture! I haven't posted in so long, I'm rusty!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Kind of chessey to put this picture in, but all the other ones are in my album!

Happy Birthday Pop!

Happy Birthday Bud/Austin! I apologize, I forgot to rotate... So, I posted another below!

Emery loves her uncle Bud! As you can see he's really silly with her!

Happy Birthday to Laura!

Okay, its been so long since I've posted, and I have no excuses why!! I love the month of April, and always feel like we're so busy... But, I can't figure out with what. We haven't even left town once! So, I just laid Emery down and made myself post!

First off, today is our anniversary! Around this time 4 years ago, we were getting ready for group pictures. It's just wild how fast time flies..... especially once you have a kid!

We've celebrated several birthdays this month.... My brother, sister, Dad, and then Jim's brother's birthday is tomorrow! I love birthdays!
Not much else new going on. I do have an update on my bridesmaids dress for my sisters wedding..... It fit! Because of everything surrounding what size to order, I was a bit nervous, but I actually had room to spare! And to make it better, my mom actually went and picked it up without me. Mom has decided that any alterations that need to be done, will be done by someone else! Thank Goodness!

I have missed reading other blogs and posting on mine too! I WILL be better! Jim' parents came in town this weekend, so I'll post those pictures soon!

The Bridesmaid Dress & the "Sweet" Little Lady

Many of you that I talk to on a regular basis know this story, but those of you that don't might find it funny. I didn't at first!

My sister is getting married on July 7th. So, several months ago, I had to go be fitted for the dress. Of course, I'm not crazy about someone taking a tape measure to my body.... but this is how it has to be done!

So I go over to the store. The "sweet" little lady takes my measurements and then whispers what size she thought I needed. I said pretty loudly, "whatever size you think," trying to politely let her know that I WAS NOT going to leave the store crying over what size dress I had to order.

My mom then steps over to my rescue after hearing me and asks the sales lady about the sizing. The sales lady then turns to me and does/says the following:

1. pinches my stomach
2. asks if I will be smaller by July
3. ask me if I had heard of spanx before
4. tells me that I'm "soft" in my mid-section from having the "baby" as she points to Emery (I mean really?)

So, I left with the "sweet" little lady telling me that she did feel comfortable ordering down one size. Well thanks! I really appreciate it!

Well, the dress is in. I have to try it on to see if any alterations are needed. My mom insists on escorting me because she fears that I might physically hurt the lady! I would never, but I don't think its unreasonable for me to not be jumping for joy to get over there! Wouldn't you be a little offended? I can laugh about it now, because the "sweet" little lady did something even ruder (is that a word) to another one of the bridesmaids!

I'll keep you posted on how my next encounter with the "sweet" old lady goes!
